Inspired by the words of Psalm 145:3: “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable” (ESV), this buoyant, singalong hymn of praise was written by Matt Boswell, Matt Papa, and Bryan Fowler and sung by them at the 2024 Sing! conference.
Matt Boswell is the lead pastor of The Trails Church in North Texas and the President of Doxology & Theology. He is an author and hymnwriter, known for songs such as “His Mercy is More,” “Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery,” “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death,” and “Psalm 150.” Boswell earned his MA in Christian Ministry, ThM in Biblical Spirituality, and PhD in Christian Worship from Southern Seminary. He lives in Texas with his wife, Jamie, and their four children.
Bryan Fowler is a GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Over the past decade, he has written and produced more than 20 number-one hit songs on Christian radio, with many of his songs being sung in churches around the world. He has worked extensively with artists such as TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Shane & Shane, Laura Story, Matt Maher, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Kari Jobe, and many others. Bryan has contributed to many modern hymns, including “Rejoice,” “I Am Not My Own,” and “You’ve Already Won.” He is married to Laci, and they have two children. Their family is involved at Immanuel Nashville.
Matt Papa is a songwriter, worship leader, and author who has written hymns such as “His Mercy Is More,” “Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery,” “Christ the Sure and Steady Anchor,” and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death.” He serves as Artist-in-Residence at Marco Presbyterian Church in Florida and at Cedarville University in Ohio. His latest project, “Our God Will Go Before Us,” features a new collection of songs co-written with Matt Boswell. He is married to Lauren, and they have five children.
