Filled with bold congregational anthems and soaring melodies, COHILAD expands the Gettys’ signature Folk-Irish sound to fresh horizons with songs featuring Matt Boswell, The Getty Girls, Matt Papa, Skye Peterson, Rend Collective, Michael W. Smith, a full Gospel choir, and production by Grammy award winner Bryan Fowler (known for his work with TobyMac and Shane & Shane) and Ben Shive.
The focus track and album anthem, “Rejoice,” features the powerful vocals of Rend Collective and centers around Paul’s appeal in Philippians 4:4 to “Rejoice in the Lord always.” The song is preceded by the title track, “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death” — the first song recorded by the Gettys with Michael W. Smith — and followed by “The Lord Almighty Reigns,” one of the most exciting hymns we’ve been a part of in the past 20 years and a triumphant lyrical foretaste of that day when every tribe and tongue will gather to praise the Lord.

For over a decade, Keith and Kristyn Getty have occupied a unique space in the world of music as pre-eminent modern hymn writers with hymns such as “In Christ Alone” among the 32 songs in the CCLI top 500 between the USA and UK. Born in Northern Ireland, the award-winning artists became the first musicians of the modern era to be given the OBE from Queen Elizabeth II for service to music and hymn writing.
They have become ambassadors for the genre, from their “Sing” book and Conference which welcomes over 15,000 people in Nashville every year, to performing for Presidents and Prime Ministers, a hymn tour and Christmas tour which plays annually at Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center (as well as two TV specials on PBS and TBN), as well as founding a publishing company, record label, and online learning company for a new generation of writers and church musicians. Keith and Kristyn live between Northern Ireland and Nashville with their four daughters.
Matt Boswell is lead pastor of The Trails Church in North Texas and the President of Doxology & Theology. He is an author and hymn writer, known for songs including “His Mercy is More” and “Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery”. Boswell earned his MA in Christian Ministry, ThM in Biblical Spirituality, and PhD in Christian Worship from Southern Seminary. He lives in Texas with his wife and four kids.
Bryan Fowler is a Grammy award winning producer and songwriter whose catalog includes work with artists such as Mandisa, Rend Collective, Shane & Shane, TobyMac, and more.
The Getty Girls love to sing! Eliza (12), Charlotte (9), Grace (7), and Tahlia (5) are daughters of hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty, known for songs including “In Christ Alone and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death.” They have sung on several albums, including the GMA Dove Award-winning Getty Kids Hymnal: Hymns from Home, and have performed on stages from Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center to the Grand Ole Opry House.
Dwan Hill is a GRAMMY award-winning, 2x Dove award-winning, 2x ASCAP Rhythm and Soul award-winning songwriter, producer, musician, writer, and church leader based in Nashville, TN. In addition to completing his Bachelors of Music Education and Masters of Composition degrees at Belmont University, Dwan has toured worldwide as the music director for CeCe Winans as well as with renowned artists such as Lauren Daigle, Jonny Lang, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, and Tauren Wells.
Jordan Kauflin serves as worship pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta, GA. He is a songwriter whose hymns include "I Will Wait for You (Psalm 130)", "Christ our Hope in Life and Death" and "All I Have Is Christ." He is passionate about raising up the next generation of worship leaders and songwriters.
Matt Papa is a songwriter, worship leader, and author whose heart longs to see people from every corner of the world set ablaze by the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. His latest project, "Almost Home," showcases over a dozen songs co-written with frequent collaborator Matt Boswell.
Skye Peterson is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Although she has been writing and recording since high school, she began her career as a musician after studying theology and being inspired by biblical history and hermeneutics. Now writing hymns for Getty Music, Skye is also performing her own concerts and hoping to tell the world that they are not alone and that there’s a King who’s worth singing about.
Hailing from Northern Ireland, Rend Collective (Gareth Gilkeson, Chris Llewellyn, Ali Gilkeson, Patrick Thompson, and Stephen Mitchell) wants to be known as a celebration band. The group’s authentic and energetic style of worship includes songs like ‘Build Your Kingdom Here,’ ‘My Lighthouse,’ and ‘Counting Every Blessing.’
Shane and Shane are a contemporary worship music band known for popular praise and worship music. The band consists of Shane Barnard (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Shane Everett (vocals). They are based in Texas.
Ben Shive is a producer, songwriter, arranger, and keyboardist. His longtime collaboration with singer-songwriter Andrew Peterson (Is He Worthy, Behold The Lamb Of God) is the cornerstone of a career spent in service of artists who advance the Kingdom of Jesus through beauty, honesty, and truth. As a producer, Ben has worked alongside Keith & Kristyn Getty, JJ Heller, The Gray Havens, Slugs & Bugs, Mercy Me, Colony House, Sandra McCracken, Dave Barnes, and many more. As an arranger and keyboardist, his credits include Amy Grant, Michael W Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, and Ben Rector. Ben’s studio, the Beehive, is located in Nashville Tennessee, where Ben lives with his wife and four children.

Smith has been honored with three Grammy Awards, 45 Dove Awards, an American Music Award, and has sold more than 15 million albums. He’s also given back to the global community.
